Michelle Pires, PT, DPT, FR, FRCms

Owner | Physical Therapist | Movement Specialist


Dr. Michelle Pires graduated from Touro College with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and BS in Science in 2008. She quickly set out to pursue her passion as a manual physical therapist. She opened Current Rehab Physical Therapy in 2011 with the intent to focus all treatment on the patient and the individualized care. After working with patients in orthopedic medicine, she felt there was a gap in a patient’s recovery with return to their previous level of activity. After brainstorming and researching, the idea was hatched for a recovery facility for all individuals to access for preventive care, post-rehab care, as well as sports performance. Her focus is on the maintaining efficiency of the body, as well as an attention on recovery from activity – no matter the level of performance.

Dr. Pires has served as a medical volunteer, treating athletes for an Ironman, CrossFit competitions, as well as local athletic competitions. Dr. Pires is certified in Functional Release, Kinesio Taping, and Trigger Point Dry Needing. She is a Functional Range Conditioning movement specialist as well as certified running coach with a Pose method certification.

Danielle Restivo, PT, DPT, FRCms

Physical Therapist | Movement Specialist


Dr. Danielle Restivo graduated from UMDNJ with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004. She has worked in orthopedic medicine as a physical therapist with a particular passion for adolescent athletes. She has worked with Current Rehab Physical Therapy since 2011, assisting Dr. Pires with the growth of the company, working with patients in the community for post-operative joint replacements, as well as orthopedic and neurological patients unable to access facilities due to physical limitations. Dr. Restivo’s compassionate demeanor has branched into working with individuals on injury and arthritic prevention. She continues to drive her research and knowledge towards adolescent injury prevention, joining Current Recovery & Performance as a movement specialist to work with athletes and individuals on corrective mechanisms with functional movements.

Dr. Restivo has served as a volunteer at various athletic competitions, including CrossFit events, Warrior Challengers and more. She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling, as well as a Functional Range Conditioning movement specialist and certified running coach with a Pose method certification.

Laura Iden, PT, DPT, FRCms

Physical Therapist


Dr. Laura Iden graduated from Seton Hall University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008 and began to carve out her niche in the field. Working in a variety of outpatient orthopedic settings over her career, Dr. Iden joined the staff of Current Rehab in the summer of 2017 and immediately established herself as an invaluable team member. Her athletic background and experience in the profession allow her to get the results you are looking for. Her focus on injury prevention and the individual will aid anyone coming through the doors at Current Recovery & Performance.

Dr. Iden has volunteered in a variety of community events, including road races, basketball tournaments and other various sporting events. She specializes in sports-specific rehab, pre- and post-operative care with a main focus on manual therapy. She is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and Rock Tape F.M.T. and F.M.T. Blade.

Caroline Burns, PT, DPT, FRCms

Physical Therapist | Movement Specialist


Dr. Caroline Burns graduated from Columbia University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. She has worked in orthopedic medicine as a physical therapist in New York and Washington D.C. She joined the staff of Current Rehab Physical Therapy in 2015, quickly becoming an integral part of the clinical team. She shares the same views and passion with regards to her craft and profession as the rest of the team, working with all individuals on preventive measures to avoid injuries and improve function without further damage on their body. Dr. Burns lends her deep understanding of the human form to the clients of Current Recovery & Performance in order to get the most out of their bodies.

Dr. Burns has served as a volunteer at various athletic competitions, including CrossFit events, Warrior Challenges and more. She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Maitland and McKenzie method. She is also a Functional Range Conditioning movement specialist and certified running coach with a Pose method certification.

Stacy Clark, PTA, FRCms

Physical Therapist Assistant


With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, Stacy Clark has worked on a variety of orthopedic cases through her career. She enjoys treating all conditions, as no two people are the same. Her passion for the individual and overall wellness allows her to give you the care you deserve through education and application. Since joining the staff of Current Rehab, she has shown to be a valuable asset to our team and our clients’ well-being. She brings that same attitude, compassion and expertise to Current Recovery & Performance and is focused on getting you back to 100% -- no matter your condition or ailment.

Bernard Fryer, PTA, FRCms

Physical Therapist Assistant


Bernard Fryer brings a wealth of knowledge to the staff with over 30 years of experience in the therapy field. He possesses a remarkable knowledge of therapy principals, theories, methods and their application in an educational environment. Having worked with a wide array of athletes over his career, he is capable of getting the results to help you be the best version of yourself. Upon joining the staff of Current Rehab, he quickly showed why all of his patients and clients are immediately drawn to his demeanor, personality and abilities. He lends his experience and capabilities to Current Recovery & Performance in order to help those in need.

Bernard is Rock Tape F.M.T., P.M.T. and F.M.T. Blade certified.

Aaron Egerter, FRCms, C.C.T., CF-L1

Cupping Therapist | Recovery Technician


Aaron Egerter has a passion for helping those in need, which allows him to educate and help with any client, member or patient that walks through the doors. Studying to become a physical therapist assistant, he already is a certified cupping therapist, a FRC® Mobility Specialist (FRCms) and CrossFit Level 1 certified. The combination of these certifications and schooling gives him the foundation needed to help you be at your best. Whether he is taking you through a recovery session, a cupping session or assisting in other ways -- you will always be in good hands with Aaron as his main focus is ensuring you have a positive experience on your way to a healthy life.

Erica Gigante, NASM, FRCms

Movement Specialist | Performance Trainer | Recovery Technician


Erica Gigante brings a wealth of knowledge to the facility as a NASM certified personal trainer, correct exercise specialist and women's fitness specialist with a concentration in pre/post natal and menopausal training. She has years of experience working with all walks of life -- the young athlete to the working mother or father. Her main objective is to help her clients achieve their goals through improving strength, balance, endurance, coordination and overall quality of life. Her client's success is a direct reflection of her commitment, professionalism, knowledge and passion for fitness and wellness.

Share Ferguson

Massage Therapist | Recovery Technician


Share Ferguson is a graduate of The Institute For Therapeutic Massage and has been a massage therapist in Monmouth County since 2005. She has been in the medical field for over twenty years and has a true love of the study of body language and the mechanics of the human body. During her career, she has focused her career on medical and sports massage. Share takes great pride in her work and has provided therapy for many local athletes and locations over the years. Known for her strong hands that never get tired, she continues to strive to help all athletes achieve their personal best and maximize their individual performance as well.

She is well seasoned working with a variety of athletes and clients, including golfers, pitchers, tennis players, runners, boxers, martial artists, football players, soccer players, amputee patients, dancers, musicians, jockeys and a host of others.

Marybeth Boorom

Facility Manager


Marybeth Boorom has worked in the medical field for more than 10 years in various roles, including most recently as a manager. Her passion for the field and, more importantly, helping both clients and patients goes unmatched. She puts your needs well before hers and doesn’t think twice about it. Her problem solving skills and desire to help will point you in the right direction when it comes to your well-being. She has been an integral part of running the day-to-day operations at Current Rehab since 2012 and will also be a key cog in running Current Recovery & Performance on a daily basis.

Mike Tiedemann

Owner


Growing up as a competitive athlete for much of his life, Michael Tiedemann knows the toll sports, training and exercise can take on the body. This has given him a passion for athletics and the competitive landscape, which led him to stops as a sports reporter and working at the National Basketball Association for over six years. Now having spent the latter part of his life in the working world, Mr. Tiedemann knows the rigors you put your body through on a daily basis. That is why his focus shifted to providing a facility for all walks of life – from the high-level athlete to the working parents. He believes everyone should have the ability and resources at their disposal to live a healthy life. Mr. Tiedemann runs the day-to-day operations at Current Recovery & Performance, as well as managing Current Rehab Physical Therapy.
